Summer 2010

I have just published my first book, which documents the recent series of watercolors with 31 photographs, including some magnified details, notes that I wrote for specific paintings, a preface, an introduction and selected quotes resonating with the instincts that guide me. 

The book can be printed soft-cover or hard-cover.  It is 7 x 7 inches with little more than forty pages.  I printed a soft-cover for myself.

Awards:

 The Morris Graves Foundation continues to support my work with an invitation to return for another summer fellowship in 2010 as I embark on a new series.     

Exhibitions:

The oil painting Little Rat will be on view at the New Arts Program Invitational Salon Exhibition of Small Works from Friday, May 28 to Saturday July 10, 2010.  Opening Reception, Friday, May 28, 6:30 to 9 pm at 173 W. Main Street in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

The watercolor Rusty Bird will be on view at the Lancaster County Art Association National Juried Exhibition from Sunday, June 13 to July 22, 2010.  Opening Reception, Sunday June 13 from 1 – 5 pm at 149 Precision Avenue in Strasburg, Pennsylvania.  However, be sure to call the gallery 717-687-7061 and ask if the painting is still there before you go.  This painting may need to travel west before the show’s end.
