Bio

1982 — Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Obsessed with drawing from imagination since early childhood.

2000—2004 — Began drawing from observation as an undergraduate mentored by the painter, Charles Stegeman, while also studying history of art and eastern religion.  Received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in history of art and fine art from Haverford College.

2004—2006 — Received a Master of Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.  As a graduate student, continued independent research of art and theology from around the world.

2006—2009 — Solitary retreat in the primeval redwood forest of Northern California influences painting style as subject shifts from the human figure to anthropomorphic birds and flowers.  Paintings of birds and flowers exhibited widely in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, receiving numerous awards.

2010—2011 — Drove around the United States exploring the country including devastation during the Gulf Coast Oil Crisis.  Deeply affected by this experience, retreated for a second time in the redwood forest and painted a series of wildlife in response to the oil crisis.

2012 — Currently, developing a new series of human figures.
